Alexis first became a pastor in the 90’s shortly after converting from being an atheist. In the early 2000’s he learned the principles of expository preaching and improved his ability to interpret the bible. After this experience, he realized that his former biblical teaching was not good enough and threw away all his old teachings. Shortly thereafter, he founded Prédica Fiel to teach other pastors how to interpret the bible well where he serves as the Director of Ministries. He currently trains and teaches pastors throughout the US and South America in that role. He lives with his wife Lourdes in Miami and serves as a pastor and staff member at Providence Road Church. He also serves on the Pastoral Counsel for Spanish speaking arm of The Gospel Coalition. Alexis continues to mentor many pastors of the churches we support and helps guide our efforts with his advice and experience.

Josh was called to serve as Senior Pastor of Kinney Avenue Baptist Church in October of 2018. He previously served as an Associate Pastor of High Pointe Baptist Church in Austin. Josh received his undergraduate degree in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL and his Masters of Divinity in Biblical Counseling from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. He married Christina, his high school sweetheart, in 2006 and they have four sons and one daughter.  In addition to serving as one of our stewards, Josh also trains men in our biblical interpretation workshops on yearly trips.

Justin first went on a mission trip in the Caribbean in 2006 and got involved in sponsoring ministries there shortly thereafter. He has seen the needs for international ministry change over time. He believes the biggest need today is for training in careful biblical interpretation and in helping churches navigate difficult times. Justin received his bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Masters in Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. He currently teaches biblical interpretation weekly and serves as the head administrative steward for Faithful Churches. He currently lives with his wife and kids in Rockwall, TX.

Matt serves as the head teaching pastor at Island Home Baptist Church in his hometown of Knoxville, TN. Matt attended Liberty University and then Liberty University School of Law. While in law school, his passion for preaching God’s Word grew. So, after graduating he left for Africa where he partnered with Ugandan pastors to see a new church planted in Jinja, Uganda. He later graduated from Southern Seminary, where he taught courses in politics and law at Boyce College. After also living and ministering among refugees in Louisville, KY, Matt completed a season of pastoral training at Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington D.C. He then returned with a burden for Knoxville and was blessed to serve on staff at Shoreline Church before becoming the pastor at Island Home Baptist Church. Matt regularly participates in mission trips throughout the world with a strong focus on encouraging and training pastors. Outside of church, Matt loves to get outdoors, read a good book, talk around a campfire, and exercise.  here
